We detail below the partnership between the BlueWorld Foundation and Handicap International Belgium for the support of the « Inclusive Future » project to raise awareness of inclusion by Handicap International, within the framework of the foundation's solidarity economic model, called the « Blue model ».

« Inclusive Future » project supported by the foundation for raising awareness of inclusion

The BlueWorld Foundation has decided to support a specific project of the association Handicap International: the « Inclusive Future » project is part of a European programme to raise awareness of inclusion in secondary schools. This project, titled « Towards an inclusive future – Strengthening inclusive education in Europe », aims to develop and disseminate innovative teaching methods and tools to raise students' awareness of the importance of diversity and solidarity. Specifically, this programme pursues the following objectives:
Improvement of the perception of disability for better inclusion of disabled people in secondary schools through the development of innovative teaching tools for creating classroom activities.
Development of multilingual teaching tools accessible to all.
Establishment of an online learning platform for training and peer exchange.
Creation of a network of ambassador teachers to disseminate best practices.
Training of 200 teachers in the use of educational tools.
Conducting a pilot test in 50 schools with feedback and adjustments.
Raising awareness of over 5,000 students through projects and campaigns in class.
Sharing results at the European level to support educational policies.

Details of the agreement between the BlueWorld Foundation and Handicap International Belgium

Foundation commitments

  • Specific bank account : The foundation has opened a specific bank account for the Erasmus+ project of HI Belgium, into which contributions from the foundation's economic partners are paid. The dedicated project account is BE45 0020 1468 9289. The foundation will not withdraw any funds from this account for its internal expenses, in order to ensure that the redistribution of contributions occurs gross as well as net.
  • Dedicated mini-site : The foundation creates and maintains, in consultation with HI Belgium, a mini-site on its website (www.blueworldfoundation.org), describing the project, its stages, its funding, and the foundation's participation.
  • Provision of HSS marketing technology : The foundation provides HI Belgium with free access to HSS marketing technology for all projects in partnership with the BlueWorld Foundation.
  • Promotion of the partnership with HI Belgium : The foundation will cite HI Belgium as an associative partner.

Commitments of Handicap International Belgium

  • Use of the bank account : HI Belgium commits to using the specific bank account provided by the foundation exclusively for purposes related to emergency funds.
  • Project promotion : HI Belgium commits to promoting its partnership with the BlueWorld Foundation for responsible consumption according to the Blue model in its communication (website, social media, events) and to mention the foundation as a financial partner.
  • Marketing : HI Belgium may integrate the SMS codes made available free of charge via HSS technology, in accordance with the ethical guidelines of the Handicap International network and in consultation with the BlueWorld Foundation.
  • Progress report : HI Belgium will present the foundation with regular reports (according to the schedule established jointly), detailing the progress of the project, the use of funds, and the results of marketing campaigns.

Project financing

Source of funds : The funds deposited in the specific bank account come from contributions from the foundation's economic partners.

Other economic partners of the BlueWorld Foundation may actively participate in the raising of funds.
