Causes defended

Through the Blue Model, the foundation sees 4 areas of causes and therefore prioritises its support for projects of associations working on these themes:

Humanitarian

The BlueWorld foundation is primarily a humanitarian foundation. In the face of poverty, suffering, and the deplorable living conditions of such a large part of the world's population, we wish to support constructive projects. The BlueWorld foundation aims to provide support at the organisational, financial, and technological levels for the creation of websites or information dissemination campaigns, donations, or the production of video spots. Our contribution will primarily be directed to organisations active in the following sectors:

  • Access to clean water

  • Access to food

  • Access to education

  • Access to healthcare

  • Protection of people and property

—

The projects are interconnected: promoting hygiene by providing access to drinking water impacts the health of populations, which in turn gives them the opportunity to act, work, educate themselves, and even develop local craftsmanship and a genuine trade. We are ready to support any organisation active in these areas, while trying to maintain a holistic vision.

Clean energies

The fossil energy resources of our planet are dangerously depleting and are the source of pollution and climate disruption. Nuclear energy is problematic, as the pollution caused by waste and the dangers of radioactivity only push the problem onto future generations. Other energy sources that are low or even non-polluting exist, and some are inexhaustible, such as solar energy. Many researchers are working on ecological solutions such as hydrogen, magnetic energy, or even cold fusion.

The objectives of BlueWorld Foundation in this area are as follows:

  • Funding research into clean and renewable energies

  • Promoting and assisting in the commercialisation of solutions

  • Helping countries with energy shortages to implement solutions based on local possibilities

—

Nearly 2 billion human beings still do not have access to electricity (Source IEA 2009). Paradoxically, countries that produce energy resources like oil and gas have the poorest energy population. The consequence is that their population compensates for this lack by using wood and charcoal, which leads to significant deforestation and pollution.

Environment

The areas concerned are the environment in the broad sense, water, air, and land. We have only one planet, it is up to us to take care of it! Individual and collective awareness is necessary, and concrete projects must follow. We open the possibility of working in partnership with organisations already active on the ground that we can assist financially, organisationally, or personally. An essential step for any change is the empowerment.

We wish to provide assistance both at the level of the daily behaviours of everyone, individual and collective, but also to raise awareness among companies about empowerment. We support the idea of a change in the production system of the economy, that is to say:

  • Promote the ecological actions of companies

  • Encourage companies that are committed to preserving the environment

  • Support individuals and institutions in their desire to improve their environmental behaviours

  • Help cities become eco-cities offering citizens the opportunity to act responsibly

  • Prevent and limit the environmental impact of natural disasters

Animals

BlueWorld Foundation is aware of the issues related to animal welfare. We are ready to intervene and work for the dignity of species by supporting actions and initiatives aimed at improving animal welfare.

Raising public awareness is fundamental to changing mindsets and citizen behaviour. This can be achieved through various publications, video spots, organising conferences, etc. It is important to have specific requests and proposals to submit to legislators and political powers in order to try to make progress. For claims to carry weight, active organisations can submit petitions to sign or prepare demonstrations against specific types of behaviour. BlueWorld Foundation is ready to support specific projects launched by any organisation, provided that the project seems sensible and achievable.

Contact us!

These lists are by no means exhaustive and we are ready to support any project as long as it is coherent, rational, achievable and in line with the values and operating methods of the foundation. We invite those who feel affected to contact the foundation, so we can think together about how to contribute to the society of tomorrow.
